MARK IV Enterprises is a leading residential and commercial real estate developer in the greater upstate NY area. We have provided residential and commercial property solutions for over 50 years.
Our Lifeguards are responsible for the overall safety of all individuals in the outdoor pool area. This is accomplished by enforcement of safety rules and rules of the pool. Lifeguards are responsible for daily and routine maintenance of the swimming pool and surrounding area during their shift. New Lifeguards $17.50/hour and Experienced Lifeguards $18.50/hour. Lifeguard Certification reimbursement and Referral Bonus available.
Responsibilities include:
• Supervise all swimmers and non-swimmers at the community pool
• Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations and policies to ensure safety of patrons
• Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations
• Maintaining order in swimming areas
• Responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning
• Performing first aid procedures when needed
• Maintain the safety equipment, poolside
• Monitor pool equipment and chemical levels
• Vacuum and maintain the cleanliness of the pool
• Maintain the visual integrity of the pool area: Water flowers, sweep deck, pull weeds, empty trash
• Maintain all pool records and reports
• Inspect the pool area, daily, and report any unsafe conditions to the Office
• Other duties as assigned
Required Certifications:
• Current and valid Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or the equivalent)
• Current and Valid First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications (American Red Cross or the equivalent)
Required Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge of pool operations and swimmer supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail, organization and follow through
• Dependable and self-motivated
• Ability to be at work regularly and on time
• Ability to work weekends or extended hours, as required
• Reliable transportation required
Pool Hours/Scheduling:
• Pool Hours: Monday – Sunday from 10 AM – 8 PM
• Approximately 5 hour shifts (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM; 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
• Expect to work from Memorial Day through Labor Day
