First Presbyterian Church of Georgetown is Hiring a Financial Manager Near Georgetown, TX

Qualifications: Must possess proven skills in organization, record keeping, documentation, and Quickbooks. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.

General Description: Has primary responsibility for conducting the day-to-day financial activities and maintaining the financial records of the church.

Duties:

1. Coordinate the counting and depositing of church offerings; execute automatic deposits; maintain financial records of individual member contributions; prepare and distribute individual quarterly pledge reports.

2. Prepare all checks to pay bills, reimbursement expenses of members and staff, and operations, building, and mission accounts.

3. Reconcile all monthly and quarterly bank/investment statements.

4. Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to officers and staff.

5. Monitor all payroll reports and maintain a professional relationship with payroll service provide. Process all new hire paperwork and maintain employee files. This includes taking care of any employee deductions for FSA and 403b and maintaining the deposits of these deductions into the appropriate place.

6. Provide reports on the annual Stewardship Campaign to the Pastor and Stewardship and Finance Committee; assist with other responsibilities related to the Campaign.

7. Assist the Budget Committee in preparation of the annual budget.

8. Recognize memorial gifts by letter.

9. Organize and store all financial documentation at the end of each fiscal year.

10. Meet monthly with the Stewardship and Finance Committee and with the church staff.

11. Assist in gathering information for tax preparation for the trust (IRS Form 990). Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and reports for Trustee review.

12. Process Board of Pensions yearly insurance sign-up for Full-Time Employee Medical Coverage.

13. Prepare 1099's each January and maintain a file for the W-9's.

14. File state sales tax each January.

15. Maintain and audit credit card records for staff and Property Committee members' church credit cards.

16. Communicate with the bank as a point person for signature changes and other issues that may arise.

17. Implement, maintain, and train staff on all internal controls for safeguarding financial assets.

18. Develop desk procedures for conducting financial activities.

19. Collect and file staff weekly time-sheets and process non-exempt overtime payments in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.

20. Track all hours worked in the performance of your duties as detailed herein.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 18 – 20 per week
