General Description/PurposeThe Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is a senior management level position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to manage professional team(s)/department(s) and apply analytical thinking/knowledge of data analysis methodologies to create and analyze reports that gauge alignment with forecasted performance.Essential Job FunctionsPlanning & Analysis: 
  • Develop, build, and maintain three statement financial models to support regular forecast updates as well as long-range strategic planning.
  • Help evaluate new projects and support underwriting process by updating the development financial model and validating key assumptions.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand, prepare, and consolidate budget and forecast information aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Prepare regular variance analysis, identifying key drivers of performance and providing actionable insights to improve business outcomes.
  • Run various forecast scenario analysis and ad-hoc requests from management.
Reporting & Metrics: 
  • Help drive standardized reporting and KPIs across the portfolio of projects and organization with an emphasis on data automation and visualizations.
  • Assist with monthly reporting packages to communicate financial results and compliance to management team and external stakeholders.
  • Work with the accounting team to support month-end close activities and meetings.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial planning and analysis processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Financing, Accounting, or related field.
  • Advance degree or professional qualification a plus: MBA, CFA, CPA, CA, etc.
  • Proven experience (3 years) preferably within homebuilding, real estate, or construction industry.
  • Prior experience in Big 4, investment banking, private equity, or finance in a startup a plus.
  • Detailed understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience analyzing detailed information and summarizing for executive level presentations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
