Title: Janitor & General Maintenance

Job Status: Full Time – Hourly

Reports Relationship: Management Team

Education/Work Experience:

• 1-3 years of Janitor experience
• 1-3 years of General maintenance experience
• Military experience a plus

Job Summary:

This is a dual role requiring the candidate to split time between a Janitorial role and General Maintenance of the facilities including overall upkeep of the building, bathrooms, machines, repairs of equipment, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, etc.

Responsibilities:

· Clean and maintain general areas, lobby, conference rooms, offices, bathrooms, kitchens,

· Inspects and identifies building and equipment/machines in need of repair

· Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs

· Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed

· Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician

· Performs routine maintenance on building systems and machines

· Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities

· Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Personal Characteristics:

Requires interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a strong sense of urgency and dependability. Must have a high energy level and the ability to interact with a variety of individuals. Requires the ability to make sound decisions and speak with confidence. The Janitor & General Maintenance must have very strong teamwork and problem-solving skills along with the desire to be the owner of multiple projects at one time.

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed above
• Prolonged periods standing and walking
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
• Must be able to lift heavy items
• Excellent time management skills
• Seeks ways to develop self to increase knowledge base on gear manufacturing equipment
• Manage multiple demands. Prioritizing, with assistance, and working first on the projects with the highest return

Restrictions:
