First Community Bank is Hiring a Mortgage Loan Closer Near Lexington, SC

Position Summary

Responsible forcoordinating mortgage loan closings with processors and attorneys. Prepares and delivers (via variousdistribution channels) closing packages. Reviews files for errors and missing documents. Provide documents to investors withinrequired time frames and overall follow-up to insure all necessary items arecompleted.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

·Demonstrate knowledge of Bank mortgage loan productsand services.

·Follow bank policies and procedures, securityguidelines, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations. Includes coordinating with legal counsel andbank operating departments to ensure adherence to laws and regulations relatingto new and/or revised bank products and services.

·Support the Bank’s CRA Officer by reporting CRA data.

·Review documents for completeness and accuracy.

·Review and approve HUD and title binder exceptions andclear closing conditions.

·Coordinate the wiring of funds.

·Ship closing files to investors for purchase, reviewand approve purchase advices.

·Process bookkeeping items (payment of loans, bookingincome, processing invoices and sending letters).

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years of relatedexperience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·Effective oral and written communication skills.

·Ability to compute basic to moderately complex mathcalculations.

·Basic problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

·Proficiency in using personal computers and officeproducts (e.g., Word, Excel).

·Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

·Ability to work independently.

·Self-starter who is goal- and results-oriented.

·Ability to work with direction from supervisor.

·Ability to effectively multi-task in a close workingenvironment.
