First Choice Medical Care, PLLC is a family oriented internal medicine practice with 2 physicians.

Experienced medical assistant needed to join our team in delivering excellent patient care. This is a private practice Internal medicine clinic located in Dyersburg, TN. This is a full time 36-40 hour position with benefits. NO WEEKENDS.

-High school diploma or equivalent required, as well as a minimum of 1 year experience. Certification & training a plus. Insurance Knowledge a Plus,

-Ability to draw blood and give injections skillfully is a requirement.

-Ability to operate Electronic Medical Records

-Knowledge of HIPPA privacy regulations

-Knowledge of sterile technique and basic medical procedures

-Handling telephone communications with patients

-Authorizing medication refills

-Escorting patients to exam rooms, obtaining pertinent history, updating patient information, including medications

-Setting up exam rooms; keeping exam rooms neat and clean

-Drawing up medications

-Obtaining prior authorizations for in procedures

-Referrals

-Assisting the patients in their knowledge of their diagnosis and treatment

-Assisting in other clinical or clerical duties as requested by physicians or administrator

-Maintaining a positive, patient-centered attitude

Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
