DESCRIPTION

First Baptist Dallas is a thriving church community living for Jesus Christ. We have been serving and doing ministry for over 150 years. First Baptist Dallas was built on the Bible and continues its mission to “Transform the world with God’s Word…one life at a time.”

We seek Christ-centered professionals, who want to join a team of disciplined and talented superstars, committed to working together to accomplish our mission. The College & Career Ministry Intern will be responsible for assisting the Minister in all aspects of the ministry area.

Ministry Focus:

• Lead Bible Studies
• Organize Campus Fellowship Events
• Social Media Picture and Video Editing and Posting

Sunday School:

• Attendance process
• Scan, copy, print, sort, stuff, and deliver folders
• Assist with leadership luncheon set up and clean up
• Enter room resources for all classes in Service U for the upcoming year
• Assist with Communiques and Newsletters

Special Events – Luncheons, Dinners, Programs, Conferences

• Set up, tear down, and store supplies and equipment
• Able to adjust hours to work weekends as needed

Trip Logistics

• Identify hotel options, travel options, restaurant options, tour options
• Contract tracking and deadlines

Planning Center

• Enter necessary resources for upcoming events

QUALIFICATIONS

Spiritual

• Fully committed to the Mission and Core Values of First Baptist Dallas
• Fully committed to the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, and overall church ministry
• Fully committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings professionally and personally
• Fully committed to demonstrating characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity

Professional & Education (Certifications or Licenses)

• Embody the Green Team Characteristics and work according to Operating Principles
• Must be an active member of First Baptist Dallas Church or another like-minded Church
• Must be currently seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree at a College, University, or Seminary
• Must have sensed a call into some type of vocational Ministry
• Must be able to commit 12 months to this internship opportunity
• Must be able to work up to 19 hours a week
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Creativity in decorating for an event

Physical

• Must be able to sit for long periods
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
• Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for long periods
