Overview:
Join our team as a Seasonal Wildland Firefighter and play a crucial role in protecting our natural resources and communities from wildfires! This position requires physical fitness, mental resilience, and a commitment to teamwork in challenging environments.
Duties:
- Respond to wildland fires and assist in fire suppression efforts
- Operate specialized firefighting equipment and tools
- Create fire lines to prevent the spread of wildfires
- Conduct controlled burns to eliminate fuel sources
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal and team well-being
- Communicate effectively with team members and incident command
Experience:
- Required Skills:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and strenuous physical tasks in various weather conditions
- Mechanical knowledge for operating firefighting equipment
- Basic life support skills including vital signs monitoring
- Commercial driving experience for operating fire vehicles preferred but not required
Beneficial-to-Have Skills/Accomplishments:
- First aid and CPR certification for emergency response situations
- FFT1 Certifications
- Experience as an FFT2
- Saw Experience

Fireco operates contracts out of regions 3 & 4 on type 4 and type 6 engines. Pay rates are subject on experience or qualifications and are competitive with the current market. Fireco currently has a very respected and talented crew. We would love to add anyone who can meet that standard to our long term employment. Fireco is willing to work with out-of-state employee's. -You cannot go 14-21 days without alcohol
-You do not have proof of your certifications

-You have responsibilities that prohibit you from leaving home for several weeks at a time
-You are destructive to equipment
