Fireblast Global, Inc. is Hiring a Field Service Technician Near Murrieta, CA

We are seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to be responsible for the post installation support, training and maintenance service, warranty and repair work. This is a permanent full-time position. Candidates must be able to troubleshoot control systems, service and install replacement mechanical and electrical components by utilizing project and component layout drawings. Candidate must be able terminate point-to-point electrical wiring utilizing electrical control schematics and single-line power diagrams. Have experience updating and maintaining PLC programs, assist in installations, system start-up, and be intimately familiar with troubleshooting control systems. The position requires hands-on assembly abilities and a strong knowledge of tools and electronic test equipment. This position requires frequent travel of varying durations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· The Technician shall perform a variety of skilled duties involved in the installation, training, service, maintenance, programming, and troubleshooting of existing automated (PLC Controlled) gas fired training systems.

· Ability to learn and work with Modicon M340, TWIDO, Magelis Operator Interface and Siemens S7 200 series PLC and HMI’s and other types of Process Based Controllers

· Verify proper operation and function of PLC based Fire Training Systems

· Calibrate and test safety and support systems such as E-stops, VFD’s, Air systems, Temperature monitoring and Gas Detection equipment

· Perform preventive maintenance function on system components such as air compressors, exhaust fans, blower motors, pumps and related mechanical systems

· Must have experience in gas plumbing systems that utilize Natural Gas and LPG with a good working knowledge of safety practices, compliancy with electrical, mechanical and gas codes

· Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and schedules, adaptable to delays or unexpected events and available to travel frequently

· Provide high level field service and customer support to include, but not limited to, equipment removal, teardown, troubleshoot, evaluate, repair, test and reinstall faulty equipment.

· Run conduit, pull wire and terminating industrial control panels

· Upload, Download and save PLC controller programs, VFD Configurations and Touch Panel Programs from a standard library

· Responsible for daily service reports and related project documentation

· Must maintain a good driving record as defined by company policy. Ensure safe operation of company provided vehicles and equipment

· Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area and to follow all safety and field procedures required by the customer

· Neat in appearance and workmanship

· Communicates frequently with Field Supervisor, Customer Support Representatives and Customers. Interfaces frequently with company data network so good computer skills needed.

· Ability to Learn through verbal and written instructions, retain knowledge to share and teach fellow team members

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Strong background in electrical schematic reading, trouble shooting and problem solving.

· Must be computer and network proficient

· Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision. Must have good communication, organizational and time management skills

· Strong appetite for learning and professional development

· Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and with a team, frequently directing team activities

· Must be able to operate forklift and lifting devices

· Must have a valid California Driver's License and be insurable through company insurers. Pre-employment motor vehicle record check required.

EDUCATION

· High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

· Associates Degree (Two year college or Electrical Trade school): Preferred

EXPERIENCE: 3 -5 YEARS

· Experience in construction trade, HVAC or industrial automation

· Experience in hands-on industrial control panel installation, industrial process controls or related field

· Experience with industrial control system software (PLC & HMI)

· Experience with testing, commissioning and Field troubleshooting

· Experience running, bending, fabricating conduit (Rigid EMT) and raceways ranging from 1/2" to 2"

· Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical and general construction trade

· Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations

· Knowledge of industry standard safety codes

· Knowledge of reading and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams

· Must be able to perform general physical activities common to the construction trade (i.e. climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials)

· Willingness to follow directions and plan ahead

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
