FIRE PROTECTION PROJECT MANAGER

This position involves administrating and overseeing all internal and field operations of an established fire suppression company.

Position requires capability to schedule and project manage daily, anticipate and place orders, design fire systems, develop shop drawings, estimate , sales , manage employees, and customer service. The top qualified candidates will have background experience and skill sets in Commercial Exhaust Hoods , Fire Suppression systems, Fire Extinguishers and Fire Sprinkler systems . Candidates with COMMERCIAL KITCHEN design and install background should apply. QUALIFICATIONS

• Capable to be licensed by Local Jurisdictions
• Experience in Commercial kitchen exhaust hood systems, Fire suppression systems, portable fire extinguishers and Fire sprinkler systems. Design, Sales & Product Installation
• Mechanical Aptitude: Knowledge of Fire Protection, HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Sprinklers, or Contracting Industry a plus
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Satisfactory results in a company background check
• Strong work ethic and professional approach
• Excellent communications, and customer service skills
• Able to multi-task and achieve deadlines

RESPONSIBILITIES

• This Fire Protection Position will be responsible for overseeing and conducting inspections, selling, servicing and managing the installation of fire sprinkler systems, commercial exhaust hoods, fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers in a professional and timely manner, in and around Nassau & Suffolk Counties.
• Manage time to complete projects while maintaining the required level of quality to meet and exceed codes.
• Work directly with Customers and Fire Marshals to progress projects from start to finish
• Order and allocate materials to meet project deadlines
• Vendor relations and ordering
• Generate product sales to end users
• Capability with blueprints and system shop drawings
• Provide customers with estimates for projects & breakdown of project terms
• Provide daily installation guidance for the field crews
• Productive Interactions with Fire Marshal

This is not an entry level position. It is an upper position with strong rewards and Opportunity. Additional training will be available to the right candidate. You are required to learn, maintain and apply all processes and information to become fully versed in the field. Licensing will be offered and is required.

WORK LOCATION: Everyday responsibilities at our mid Suffolk County location, plus travel around Suffolk & Nassau county to oversee active projects and generate sales.

Need to possess a clean drivers license and have reliable transportation. Gas and transportation expenses provided.
