Fire Safety Services is Hiring a Marketing Assistant (Full-Time) Near South Plainfield, NJ

The Marketing Assistant supports the Director of Brand Development to create and implement internal and external marketing strategies to increase and evolve brand voice, recognition, messaging, and engagement to drive loyalty and ROI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide full-time support for Director on all brand development strategies, activities, and communications across all divisions.
  • Support and manage the planning, preparation, and execution of yearly high-level quarterly marketing calendar with a more detailed plan at least one quarter in advance. Monitor and evolve all projects and platforms based on KPIs.
  • Manage and execute social media marketing content, captions, offers, giveaways, and opportunities at least 1 month in advance that provides balance of content by focus across posts, stories, giveaways, and company/employee spotlights.
  • Create, design & schedule original content across all social media platforms including Facebook (Posts & Stories), Instagram (Posts, Reels, Stories), LinkedIn (Posts), YouTube (Videos, Shorts), TikTok (videos) – at least one per weekday per platform and as needed for weekends.
  • Create engaging video content consistently that is layered with design, music and text that can be used for internal and external purposes.
  • Research, identify and advise on both internal and external opportunities for growth within the brand strategy including trending content, new platforms, and fresh ways to build relationships with users, customers, and followers.
  • Design and manage presentations utilized for sales meetings, company promotion and employee opportunities.
  • Create and present monthly analytic reports to Director of Brand Development & President.
  • Create & execute all design and development for websites, social media, email marketing, creative, advertising and assets – all from a user-centric perspective with a focus to create overall recognition, engagement, and loyalty.
  • Manage website SEO, google search improvements and tagging within website. Present ideas and ways to increase search engine results and traffic.
  • Manage all website updates including weekly In-Production updates, New Orders, company news and other areas such as our blog, in partnership with our agency.
  • Create & schedule New Deliveries and New Orders posts and supporting content/videos for all social media platforms.
  • Search, gather and schedule viable action shots for social media platforms.
  • Create & schedule content requested by Director of Brand Development from travels, events and/or tradeshows.
  • Manage and respond to captions and direct messages from customers & followers when relevant.
  • Email “New Products,” “New Deliveries” images and details monthly to Fire News’ editor.
  • Create, manage, and track all swag for internal and external initiatives including staff clothing (by season or fundraising opportunities), new hires, tradeshows, and giveaways.
  • Execute the marketing, tradeshow communications collateral to ensure that it is up-to-date and consistent with the organization’s voice and core values, with guidance by Director.
  • Prep and attend NJ events and trade shows to capture content, conduct market research and build relationships.
  • Manage tradeshow “booth” set up including design, set up and promotional materials, with guidance from Director.
  • Create ads for local media with creative guidance from the Director.
  • Create and execute all email marketing on a consistent basis including managing the development and growth of distribution lists & audiences.
  • Build a library of brand assets such as logos, visuals, and videos to utilize for trade shows, social media campaigns and advertising.
  • Strategize with brands quarterly to create marketing content that can be published on platforms and assets.
  • Oversee customer development journeys and customized communications during the purchasing, production, and delivery period.
  • Create and build relationships with departments and industry contacts to plan and execute content, especially customer journey milestones include planning, purchase, production, inspections, deliveries, testimonials, and action shots.
  • Consistently research and present initiatives that would benefit the company brand name, team efforts and overall sales initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales & Service teams to create content and initiatives that will support their efforts and goals.
  • Research and present ideas on ways to collaborate with industry partners to drive content and messaging that align with company’s brand voice.
  • Create and execute internal communications protocols, initiatives and events that foster employee morale.
  • Create and manage birthday cards/gift cards/gifts for staff birthdays & long-term anniversaries.
  • Keep employee photos and the marketing contact sheet up to date with birthdays, anniversaries, clothing sizing.
  • Create and manage employee pages for all teams with details and up-to-date images for the website.
  • Support the Director of Brand Development on all large-scale projects including assisting with communication, planning, preparation, execution and capturing on-site content.
  • Support the President & Principal with requested tasks & projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 40 hours per week (nights and weekends as needed for events and tradeshows).
  • 2-3 days per week spent in-person at the South Plainfield office/shop to manage the above responsibilities, capture content, manage projects, attend meetings.
  • Weekly in-person touch base with Director of Brand Development.
  • Travel to departments & customers throughout NJ as needed for photography & video content.
  • Attend NJ events and tradeshow events as needed to capture photography & video content. Potential travel outside of NJ as needed.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Fire Service is strongly desired.
  • Strong storytelling, written and verbal communication skills with a team player attitude.
  • Natural ability to envision the big picture while nailing the small details, creating memorable customer experiences.
  • Ability to set clear and actionable goals with strong organizational and carry through skills to execute.
  • Strong experience with Graphic Design – social media content, ads, tradeshow/event materials, branding, swag.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for trending content and concepts across platforms.
  • Established experience with video creation, design & editing skills.

SALARY

$50,000/YR
