Position Summary:The UX Developer (aka Front-End Developer) is primarily responsible for building a best-in-class e-commerce website focusing on HTML/CSS, JavaScript, design and overall user experience for Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. Essential Functions:Develop and implement new user-facing featuresSteer requirements and oversee development of all aspects of UX for the site, including ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.Create front-end user interfaces (UI) from wireframes & specificationsEmploy best practices for optimal performancePartner with Backend Development, QA and Analytics to support e-commerce projectsCreate designs and styles for front-end user experience Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and, Experience1 years of front-end development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (portfolio/code examples submittal required)Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, training and, experienceProficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript libraries, including jQueryExperience optimizing code for SEO and Google’s Core Web VitalsProven experience in translating design requirements for optimal UISalesforce Commerce Cloud experience a plusAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of the organizationOrganized, detailed and able to meet tight deadlinesFlexible, creative and team-oriented with strong problem solving skills Core Competencies:Creativity, Drive, Functional/Technical Expertise, High Standards, Initiative, Learning Agility, Results Orientation Physical Demands: Ability to remain in a stationary position 90% of work time with extensive computer use.
