Summary

The focus of the Senior Associate position is making connections with clients and colleagues and motivating and inspiring them to achieve their goals. Poise and an engaging, empathetic communication style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm is the key to achieving the goals of this role. The work involves driving toward results by enrolling the commitment and buy-in of others. While the job requires strong initiative and self-direction, results are only achieved with and through people. A sincere appreciation for people and how they are each uniquely motivated is the foundation for designing and implementing interactive communication and decision-making processes. Knowledge and skill in how to successfully influence and persuade others by understanding how their individual needs and motivations link to goals is essential. The role requires a high degree of “selling,” both when negotiating and advocating on behalf of clients. The job environment is fast-paced and results-oriented. While there is an urgency to achieve goals, responsibility for the achievement of results needs to be shared and effectively delegated among other legal professionals when necessary. Enlisting the buy-in and support of others will often require a “selling” rather than “telling” communication style. A self-confident, extroverted style that can enliven, engage and positively impact others is essential. The Senior Associate role has a variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing. Because goals and desired results can quickly change, the position requires regularly meeting and pro-actively establishing relationships with new people. The ability to understand, quickly react, and motivate others to adapt to the changing environment is a critical key to success. In general, the core of this position requires a motivated and motivating experienced attorney.

We work with clients across the Atlanta Metro area, with the occasional out of Metro case. Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. The compensation package includes base salary plus bonus compensation for production, performance, and client referrals. We are also open to discussing compensation for your existing book of business. We offer a generous benefits package including a 401K retirement plan with an employer contribution, health insurance and paid time off. We also pay for continuing legal education and bar dues.
