Summary:

We're looking for a bilingual HR Business Partner who strives to provide great employee experience for our diverse workforce. You will understand the people side of the business means, no two days are alike yet there is one constant: your efforts and ideas will directly improve all levels of employees. Your success will be demonstrated by ensuring compliant and uninterrupted benefit coverage, being known as a trusted resource with all levels of employees and external partners/service providers, and exceeding goals in areas of inclusion and wellness. You will use your English/Spanish bilingual skills (speaking, reading, writing, and translating) daily in the coordination of benefits, leaves of absence, management of training resources, data management and reporting, recruitment and more. You will also provide daily employee relations guidance regarding human resources practices, interpretation of company/human resources and participate with employee investigations, employee misconduct and policy infractions. It's important for individuals in this role be completely bilingual to understand short-and long-term strategic goals for the business, and to interpret the role that HR can play to help achieve these outcomes and bring value to the business.

Classification: Full-time, Exempt (100% onsite) 

Requirements

You Will: 

  • Work with executive leadership to determine needs and collaborate with HR (including external recruiters) to help meet these needs
  • Identify new roles and existing job openings that must be filled to help the business meet its goals
  • Lead the hiring process for high-priority roles (writing the job description, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Ensure that departments are staffed to labor planning. This includes initiating the requisition approval process, advertising, screening resumes, interviewing, and ensuring management involvement in the selection process and offer approvals.
  • Ensure all new hires receive a proper introduction to the company, their location, and their job throughout their first 90 days.
  • Manage the Goal Setting and Performance review process throughout the year to ensure that all associates receive goals and performance feedback throughout the year and support the annual performance appraisal and talent management processes through effective communications and follow-up with supervisors.
  • Support the safety team to guarantee a safe work environment where accidents are prevented, and any injury/incident is handled with the associate's well-being as the top priority and then addressing worker's compensation administration and the causes and countermeasures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide information and reports on data such as staff turnover, cost, etc. This role must be comfortable using technology to aggregate and analyze data.
  • Responsible for handling of employee relations issues companywide.
  • Support the rollout of other HR department related plans and communications (i.e., open enrollment, incentives, compensation strategy, policy/procedure changes).
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying all legislation; anticipate legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; advise management on needed actions.
  • Other tasks as assigned

You Have: 

  • Undergraduate degree, with 5 or more years of related experience in Human Resources (Business or Accounting/Finance) and 3 or more years at a managerial level.
  • Bilingual in Spanish very highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation governing benefit plans (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, PPACA, etc.)
  • 3 or more years of Benefit Administration experience
  • 3 or more years of Employee Relations
  • 3 or more years of Workers' Compensation administration
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and listening communication skills.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, experience in HRIS software required (with Paylocity very strongly preferred).
  • Ability to react quickly and respond to queries or requests.
  • Ability to follow direction well but also work independently as work dictates.
  • Strong analytical skills required with attention to detail and data integrity, ability to summarize insights into actionable directions
  • Can make improvements within HR processes or products to enhance performance of departments
  • Will produce ad hoc reports, using different software programs; oral presentations for the Board or senior management may be required
  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment
  • Will sit for long periods of time (eight or more hours per day).
