Parts Countermen
Responsibilities
Open and close parts sales orders with accuracy and clarity for customer billing
Take orders by phone, email etc.
Work closely with the service department to fulfill their parts needs on work orders
Look up parts for various OEM’s
Purchase order acquisition and coordination
Maintain open and positive communication with coworkers, customers and vendors
Pick, pack and prepare orders for service and customers
Receive incoming orders
Reliable attendance
Track backorders
Keep open orders to a minimum (timely invoicing)
Help with warehouse work if needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
High school or equivalent
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.
At least 3 years of experience as a Parts counterperson, preferably in the Diesel truck/Heavy Equipment industry.
Strong computer skills
CDK/PFW IntelliDealer experience a plus
Travel
5% or more
