The Learning & Development Content Creator/Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering strategic training initiatives within JD North America, based at our corporate office in Indianapolis. They will serve as a key resource for employees, crucial in providing comprehensive training sessions and ongoing support. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties: Design and develop training materials, curriculum, and resources tailored to various user groups, including corporate and retail, managers, and employees. Ensure training content aligns with organizational objectives and strategy. Develop training guides, eLearning modules, user manuals, video tutorials, and other instructional materials to supplement training sessions and serve as reference resources. Create and maintain a content library and ensure organized appropriately. Incorporate business changes, changes in best practices, and new priorities into training strategy and execution. Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and webinars to educate end-users on various topics and processes. Customize training sessions based on audience needs, skill levels, and job roles. Support training sessions as part of the new hire onboarding process to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required. Provide ongoing support and assistance to new hires as they acclimate. Offer advanced-level training sessions for experienced employees on various topics. Provide individualized training and support to employees who require additional assistance or have specific questions or challenges. Offer troubleshooting guidance and practical solutions. Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, quizzes, and feedback mechanisms to measure knowledge retention and training impact. Gather feedback from trainees to identify areas for improvement and adjust training programs accordingly. Recommend process improvements to Management as information is obtained. Ensure any reporting and tracking is kept up-to-date. Work cross-functionally across the organization to maximize opportunities, partner with stakeholders to coordinate training initiatives, communicate updates, and promote awareness of content. Act as a liaison between departments to address training needs and requirements. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2-4 years of experience required. Internal JD Finish Line experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong background in instructional design, particularly within digital platforms. Proficient in utilizing and integrating a wide range of educational technologies and digital tools. Excellent ability to simplify complex information into learner-friendly formats. Experience maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS), learning paths and distribution of customized curriculums. Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or educator, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting. Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate trainees. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and understandably. A focus on providing exceptional customer service and support. Organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively plan, coordinate, and deliver training programs. The ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt training content and delivery methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences. Required Computer and/or Technical Skills Proficient with Google Suite Products. Proficient in managing an LMS platform. Experience using Articulate 360, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Indesign, Photoshop).
