Position Summary:
Our client isseeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join theirfinance team. The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in understandingthe financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance withregulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MSDynamics Great Plains, manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, and financialreporting, with a focus on driving process improvements and optimizingprofitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Record and process payments for accounts payable per approved listfrom the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Create and send approved invoices to all customers on a timelybasis.
  • Maintain and control the collection process from all customers ona timely basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related workpapers for the CFO on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare returns and remit sales & use taxes, property taxreturn to the County and Federal income taxes.
  • Account for fixed assets.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and petty cash accounts.
  • Collect information as needed for annual audits and tax returnpreparations.
  • Maintain a coherent system of accounts, with a supporting filingsystem - preferably in digital format.
  • Chair and officiate bi-weekly AP meeting with Purchasing &Project Management Teams.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the CFO or President.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting andfinance roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing or medical device industry highlydesirable.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including proficiency in USGAAP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the abilityto interpret complex financial data and make sound business recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft DynamicsGreat Plains is a must.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the abilityto build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at alllevels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively collaboratingwith other teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with a focus ondelivering high-quality work products on time and within budget.
