FillTech USA is Hiring a Quality Control Manager Near Rockwell, NC

FillTech USA LLC (“FillTech”) is excited to recruit a full-time Quality Control Manager to join its growing team. This position is a new addition to FillTech’s management structure and will fulfill a crucial role assisting with continued growth of the company.

Company Overview

➢ FillTech is a contract manufacturer delivering exceptional formulation and manufacturing services to emerging and established personal care brands, major retailers and distributors. The company has a 25-year history of converting the innovations of its customers into finished branded products that are ready to be shipped to its customers and sold through various channels to end user consumers.

➢ FillTech creates solutions for lip care, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, topical ointments, hair care, pet care as well as lotions, gels and cremes for many uses. FillTech operates 12 manufacturing lines allowing product formulations to be hot- or cold-filled and labeled into all major packaging categories including bottles, sticks, tubes, tins, jars, packets and Bagon-Valve aerosols. FillTech customers work closely with an in-house Research and Development laboratory and an amazing team of chemists to develop pioneering solutions to consumer needs.

➢ The work of FillTech is created in a FDA registered facility and monitored by a deep bench of Quality professionals to ensure compliance with mandated cGMP. For global customers, the company is cleared by Health Canada and other offshore regulators. In addition, FillTech successfully completes regular quality and safety audits by its customers. Many customers, and all of the largest ones, have worked with FillTech for nearly a decade. FillTech has grown primarily through referrals from existing customers.

➢ Compensation for this full-time position will include a competitive base salary, health/vision/dental insurance and PTO benefits. FillTech intends to establish a 401k plan in 2024.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

FillTech USA is searching for a talented Quality Control Manager to lead our Quality Control team. The position will report to the Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Combination of advanced degree (such as Bachelors or Masters in science) and 3 years of experience in high volume manufacturing preferred
  • Previous experience within a cGMP compliant facility and Quality Assurance/Quality Control preferred
  • Ability to perform physical sampling/testing and instrumental chemical analysis in the chemical laboratory (e.g., chromatography, infra-red spectroscopy, titrations, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent people skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across functional groups
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Quality Control Manager will perform their role as follows:

  • Assist with the developing, implementing, maintaining and adherence of the Quality System
  • Manage departmental activities in accordance with available budget, resources and personnel
  • Interviews, hires and trains department staff
  • Manage the Quality Control internal laboratory activities and analytical team – which includes the analysis of raw materials, batches, and finished products.
  • Assist with all Regulatory and Customer inspections
  • Assist with reports and other documentation as required by Regulatory agencies and Customers, including post-marketing surveillance activities such as Product Recalls
  • Assist with Vendor Qualification program by reviewing and testing raw materials.
  • Review and approve internal laboratory testing and external contract testing laboratory reports for materials and finished products. Manage the selection and qualification of external laboratories for required testing,
  • Review and approve master batch records prior to quality release.
  • Review and approve Certificates of Analysis
  • Prepare, review and approve IQ/OQ/PQ Protocols/Reports for production and laboratory equipment / instruments
  • Prepare, review and approve new and revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Forms
  • Prepare, review and approve investigations and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA)
  • Manage the facility’s Purified Water System, working with a third-party for maintenance and water testing.
  • Oversees and maintains the Pest Control program for site.
  • Manage the facility’s Environmental Monitoring Program
  • Perform additional job-related duties, as required
  • Delegate responsibilities to assigned designees, as necessary
