Summary/Objective
The Kitchen Lead is responsible the day to day organization of all kitchen activities. Including running daily service, managing labor and food cost, ensuring quality of food, as well as creating an efficient, fast paced work environment for your staff. This position will, supervise all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, coaching of your team.

Essential Functions

• Perform a pre-shift line check to ensure quality of all menu items.
• Develop a morning prep list, ensure adequate prep levels based on business levels.
• Assist General Manager with conducting periodic kitchen meetings.
• Manage and edit recipe books including detailed instructions and photos of each menu item.
• Identify inventory, equipment, maintenance needs weekly.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, development, and retention of qualified employees.
• Complete product order as needed. Checking vendor pricing with each order.
• Coordinate proper food storage according to standard operating procedure.
• Ensure all staff understand and adhere to sanitation/safety guidelines.
• Promote teamwork among co-workers and employees.
• Complete projects as assigned by supervisor in a timely manner.
• Assure and maintain food quality standards including consistency and presentation.
• Assist with food cost control.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Communicate cordially, effectively, and clearly with all employees, managers, partners, corporate staff, and guests.
• Responsible for writing and reviewing annual reviews for all kitchen employees.
• All other Duties as Assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
