Assembly and Test Operator, Level 1 to Senior Level 5

This is a new business unit for SLB, they have converted an old GM auto manufacturing plant to a facility where they will be building portable data centers that are designed to be hauled on an 18 wheel commercial truck. Inside are are the computer servers, electrical distribution, generators to provide electricity, cooling and heating systems, control panels, etc.

Pay starts at $18/hr. and goes up to the mid to high $20s per hour depending on your experience.

There are tremendous opportunities for advancement at the world's largest oilfield services company. Once you get your foot in the door, high performers will find ample opportunities for advancement here. SLB does an incredible job of moving their chess pieces around. You might start your career at this facility in Shreveport but move to an entirely different service line in a few years, move up the ranks within management, you can do anything here.

Schedule is Monday to Thursday 7AM to 4:30PM. Work every other Friday. Count on at least 40 hrs per week plus an opportunity for time and a half OT pay.

Preemployment screens include drug screening and no felonies last 10 yrs.

The Assembly and Test Operator is responsible for assembling and testing products, and for
troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assemble components of all products, selecting the correct tools and fixtures.
Test assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the
assembly and testing of products.
Read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent tools and rework techniques; operate
equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
Create labor records for all transactions.
Ensure good housekeeping within own work area.
Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to relating Risk Assessments.
Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous
improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or related experience.
Must be mechanically adept; able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written and oral instructions; write legibly.
Experience working with assembly related operations or equivalent preferred.
