Fidelity Technology Group, LLC is Hiring a Senior Software Engineer/Developer Near One Destiny Way, TX

Job Description: Position Description: Designs software and test automation for software utilities using Java. Builds Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines to manage execution of test suits. Automates the integration of code changes from multiple contributors into a single software project through the use of CI/CD practices and open source platforms -- Jenkins, Core/Enterprise, Azure, and DevOps. Applies test driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions and software utilities. Identifies risks and develops contingency plans in anticipation of test automation issues. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) defining, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, and building Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to create DevSecOps solutions. Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) defining, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, and building Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to create DevSecOps solutions. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing, managing, and integrating software applications to automate and secure public cloud environments using Jenkins Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines with containerization, Maven, Sonar, Git, and Ansible tools; defining and adopting strategies for documentation, design, code, relational SQL and no-SQL database integration, testing activities, change control, and deployment activities to drive the adoption of best DevOps practices. DE designing and developing cloud automation solutions to support the deployment and management of testing pipelines, both on-premises and public cloud, using Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Packer, Helm charts, and AWS Cloud formation scripts; implementing best practices for cloud governance, FinOps, security, and operational requirements using CloudHealth and AWS CloudWatch; identifying, analyzing, and resolving cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues. DE building and implementing observability systems and infrastructure metrics for applications and native cloud services using ELK stack, App Dynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch; designing and implementing service automation using ServiceNow and Ansible; monitoring and analyzing service telemetry to avoid service disruptions and minimize the Mean Time to Recover (MTTR) for software applications; building sophisticated application monitoring dashboards using Grafana, App Dynamics, and Splunk; automating existing manual processes and workflows using Jira and Rally; and logging the health and availability of services using Logstash and Prometheus. DE designing and building highly scalable platforms to deploy applications in a dynamic cross-functional environment according to best practices of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), using modern service deployment strategies—blue/green and canary deployments and native AWS services—Route53, Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), Auto Scaling, Amazon VPC, Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2), and AWS Lambda; implementing the Failover, Performance, and Load testing strategies to verify that on-premises and cloud infrastructure can handle the expected end-user traffic for the applications and appropriately handles FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) conditions. #PE1M2 Certifications: Category: Information Technology At Fidelity, we are passionate about making our financial expertise broadly accessible and effective in helping people live the lives they want!
