Job Description: Position Description: Builds technical solutions, using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Python, Java, and Javascript. Automates Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes, using Jenkins, Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Helm, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design sessions. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division. Create Web applications, services, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Integrates applications with external APIs and other data sources. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Develops applications for real-time data processing (publishing, subscribing, manipulation, and parsing) to solve dataset issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience performing distributed application development -- analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support -- in a financial services environment. Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing distributed application development -- analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support -- in a financial services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing application development -- analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support -- of applications and APIs developed using Java, Python, and AWS in a financial services environment; and designing and implementing data solutions on Cloud using AWS, Java, Python, and Javascript. DE delivering high performant and scalable API solutions using Spring Boot and Swagger; performing performance tuning for Oracle/DB2 databases; triaging production incidents to enable faster resolutions; performing root cause analysis using ServiceNow and Jira; and managing API deployments on application servers -- WebLogic, Tomcat, and AWS EKS. DE implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using DevOps tools (Bitbucket, Jenkins, EKS, Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes); and managing release activities.
