Job Description:

Principal Database Administrator – Responsible for managing Fidelity Brokerage’s Db2 on z/OS Platform along with Aurora PostgreSQL and Aerospike on AWS.

The Team

The Multi-Platform Database Administration, Delivery and Engineering team administers the Fidelity Brokerage database platform on Db2 z/OS along with data replication to and from Oracle. The team also supports databases on Cloud based technologies such as Aurora PostgreSQL and Aerospike on AWS. The team engages in activities starting with the physical design of the database infrastructure leading up to and beyond deployment such as support, performance tuning, ongoing review, upgrades, maintenance and patching as well as access management.

The Expertise You Must Have

• Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience primarily in
• Db2 on z/OS
• IBM replication products
• 3 Years in Aurora PostgreSQL

The Skills You Bring

• Extensive experience in DB2 z/OS Database Administration in a large complex Database Environment
• Extensive experience in SQL, JCL, COBOL
• Experience in Qrep and IIDR replication products
• Expertise in distributed technologies (Linux, VSCode, Git, Jenkins) including AWS based Aurora PostgreSQL
• Expertise in AWS concepts and services like IAM, SSO, KMS/CMK, PG, PHZ, VPC, Route53, RDS, RDS-Proxy, Lambda, S3, EBS,CloudWatch, DMS, EC2, AMI, rehydration, etc. and provisioning them
