Established in 1945, FGM Architects serves PK-12 Education, Higher Education, Faith-based, Municipal, Public Safety and Recreation, Federal and Corporate clients from our offices in Texas, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Virginia.

We welcome Architectural Internship candidates who are eager to take on the following responsibilities and learn the skills and credentials listed below:

Responsibilities:

Works with a project’s Design & Technical Leads, assists in developing the design, to implement the building program, and prepares project documentation appropriate to each phase
Contributes to the design process by utilizing various software including Revit
Assists in researching manufacturers’ materials and systems
Understands the technical implications of design decisions and contributes to the development and documentation of practical, buildable details
Attends in-house project team meetings

Skills and Credentials:

At least a junior working towards a degree in architecture from an accredited program
Dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented
Well-organized and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication and presentation skills and a solid conceptual design aptitude
Familiarity with Revit Architecture with experience in both preliminary design and construction drawings documentation
Knowledge of 3-D modeling and rendering in 3-D modeling software
