JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the Company’s month-end closing process and ensuring compliance with GAAP requirements

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage monthly accrued expenses and prepaid assets and ensure GAAP compliance
Reconcile Bank Recs, payroll entries, Intercompany transactions, and employee benefits on a consistent basis
Review monthly financials to budget and prior years for accuracy and investigate and document variances.
Work with VP of finance on YE audit requests and quarterly tax payments
Manage ASC842 for all locations
Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition on a quarterly basis.
Strong analytical and research skills
Identify opportunities to create efficiencies in the monthly closing process
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
10 years accounting experience
High-volume payables, receivables, and intercompany transactions
Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products
Experience with Microsoft BC or similar ERPs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs
Able to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises
