Work would begin as soon as feasible and continue through August 2024. Work hours are 7 a.m. until 3 : 30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

What does a Temporary Municipal Road Worker do?

In this role, under the direction of foremen, you would have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment, from zero-turn riding mowers to gas-powered grass trimmers, ensuring our roadsides are well-maintained and safe for the community.

You will also be responsible for maintaining landscape beds, operating vehicles like pickup trucks, and utilizing hand-held power tools when needed.

As a crucial member of our team, you will assist in road maintenance tasks such as hot asphalt patching, crack sealing, and traffic control.

• This is heavy work requiring exertion of 20-50 pounds of force to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions;

What matters most

To excel as a Municipal Road Worker at Ferguson Township, candidates must be at least 18 years old and must hold a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

While a CDL and equipment experience are preferred, they are not mandatory for this position.
