FEMA - Aretum is Hiring a Logistics Specialist - FEMA Near Washington, DC

ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Specialist to support FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) operations. As a Logistics Specialist at ARETUM, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing logistics operations to support disaster response and recovery efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Contractor shall possess strong writing, production, and technical editing skills. Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for MERs Detachments and Mobile Communications Office Vehicle (MCOV) Operators. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including willingness and ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management. Very strong analytical skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities. Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality. Maintain inventory database and prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Contractor will assist the organization in designing, developing, and implementing programs and projects. This includes analyzing and researching data, FEMA/DHS policies & directives, creating paper-based and digital operating instructions, how-to manuals, standard operating procedures (SOP), statements of work (SOW) and “frequently asked questions” pages to assist staff in developing strategies to improve program performance. Ability proofread, revise, and edit technical information for clarity, punctuation, grammar, and content in the work of technical writers.
  • Contractor shall provide logistical support for Disaster Emergency Communication Division’s (DECD) Logistics (LOG) section. Coordinate directly with MERS personnel to evaluate their logistics procedures, practices and performances for operational requirements under the direction of the DECD LOG section. Evaluate logistical procedures, practices and performance to ensure optimal operational requirements. Analyze Logistics practices and lifecycle planning for the LOG section and Communications LOG.
