Description

• We are seeking a caring, competent front office/dental assistant who will make the dental office efficient and welcoming for a family oriented practice
• Excellent public relations skills and customer service
• We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care
• Skilled in dental insurance billing, tracking, verifying eligibility, pre-authorization experience, financial arrangements
• Scheduling and collections, explanation of treatments and fees, general front office duties

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatment ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry as needed
• Undertake lab tasks or take x-rays as needed
• Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked
• Responsible for inventory and ordering
• Schedule appointments/bill and track insurance/manage recalls
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Skills

• Prior experience with collections and dental insurance/codes
• Experience as a dental assistant and knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills/good team player
• Attention to detail, well-organized and reliable
• Positive attitude, good work ethics and sense of integrity'
