SUMMARY:
The inspector/packer checks the parts for conformance to customer standards. When defects are found they are disposition by the guidelines defined in the work instructions. Conforming product is packed and labeled as specified by the customer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. One to three years of experience in manufacturing is required. Experience in assembly is strongly preferred. Must also possess a working knowledge of using standard operating procedures or experience using work instructions to perform manufacturing tasks.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common instructional documents and reports. Ability to respond with good verbal and written communication in regards to blue prints and reports.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic math, calibrations and statistics.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer. Required travel will consist of traveling from plant to plant (Fehrer, Supplier, Customer), including international travel may be required.
