The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) is seeking a Grants & Development Associate to lead day to day donor and grant management processes. In this role, the Associate will take ownership of building out policies and procedures around grant management, help to prepare funder-related reports, and maintain comprehensive data records related to grants and donations. The Grants & Development Associate reports to the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships and works in conjunction with the Strategy and Engagement team.

The Grants & Development Associate will work as part of the Grants & Development Team and play a key role in leading record and knowledge management related to FAS’ grants and donor systems and processes.
Design/adapt procedures and tools to be used for developing, executing and monitoring grant proposals and applications.
Ensure award files are up to date, comprehensive and “handover ready” at any time.
Maintain current donor and grant records in Salesforce CRM and google drive.
Monitor and organize grant reporting requirements and translate these milestones into actionable items for program teams to complete.
Oversee the production of grant reports to include both programmatic and financial progress updates.
Collaborate closely with the Finance and Operations team on grant compliance.
Support G&D team to expand fundraising programs through funder research and prospecting efforts.
Support G&D managers on stewardship planning and implementation.
Prepare and share materials for funder related meetings with relevant internal stakeholders across the G&D and program teams.
Employment is contingent on successful verification of eligibility to work in the United States.
This position will be a hybrid/teleworking role. Meaning that both remote and in-person work can be accommodated, generally two to three days per week on-site, and two to three days per week remote depending on the needs of the organization.
$60,000 – $65,000
