Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Metallurgist at Federal Screw Works located in Big Rapids, MI. The Metallurgist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as process control, metallurgy, extractive metallurgy, failure analysis, and leaching. They will apply their expertise in metallurgy to ensure the production of high-quality metal parts and conduct various analyses and tests to ensure product integrity and compliance with specifications.
About the Job:
Supervise Metallurgical Lab-Monito quality and perform metallurgical inspections of internal heat treatment processes which include a Neutral Hardening furnace along with Induction Hardeners – Monitor quality and perform metallurgical inspections of supplier incoming quality of raw material and heat treatment processes – Perform internal CQI-9 audits of heat treatment processing equipment and manage suppliers CQI’9’s – Provide support to all engineering projects and develop appropriate materials and ensure efficient and smooth operations.
