Job Summary:

Fedco Seeds, Inc. is seeking to hiring an Operational Finance Controller responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, implementing robust internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's growth and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Oversight:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly & annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. (Acumatica experience a plus)

Cost Management and Control

• Monitor and analyze operational costs, including direct and indirect expenses, to identify cost drivers and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Calculate profitability of individual items, product lines, shipping methods, sales regions, etc. as needed to support pricing, product development, and marketing strategies

Operational Support and Decision Analysis

• Partner with branch leadership to provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic initiatives, business plans, and investment decisions.
• Evaluate the financial impact of operational changes, projects, and investments, including ROI analysis and risk assessment.

Cash Management:

• Advise management of cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial performance.
• Monitor banking activities and maintain relationships with financial institutions
• Manage with Bookkeeper the following tasks:
• Payroll distribution & data
• Monitoring of payroll liabilities.
• Coordinating annual W-2, W-3, 1099-PATR, and 1099-NEC filings

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor the Fedco accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years minimum of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, and operational finance roles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence.
