Qualified candidates will have experience leading a product portfolio and making data-driven decisions that grow product offerings in alignment with customer interests while ensuring profitable growth of the entire catalog.

Job Summary

The Product Manager's primary responsibility is to curate and merchandise the selection of products for the assigned makes (BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Land Rover, etc.) available on FCPEuro.com to best meet our customers and their vehicle's needs. This involves utilizing industry and customer data, vendor and category management strategies, as well as aligning with FCP Euro's overall business objectives.

The Product Manager will collaborate closely with other departments (Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain) to ensure a clear understanding of our business goals and strategies. Additionally, they will establish a network of industry connections, including customers, vendors, and service advisors/technicians, to gather valuable data and insights that enhance the context for optimizing our product offerings to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and maintain a direct-to-consumer automotive parts & accessories e-commerce product portfolio that supports revenue and profitability goals for the assigned make(s.)
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance strategies and solutions for vehicle groups, subgroups, specific product categories, and solution kits.
  • Develop unique and thoughtfully curated product and solution offerings that align with the vehicle's owner's needs and personas.
  • Make catalog decisions that ensure a well-merchandised product offering, maintaining consistency within the product group and providing customers with the necessary solutions.
  • Establish relationships within the customer community, as well as with dealers and repair shops, to gather valuable data and insights.
  • Stay informed by reading and comprehending service bulletins and be hands-on in working and learning about relevant cars in the group.
  • Conduct aftermarket information research to stay updated on industry trends and developments.
  • Attend relevant conferences to acquire new and useful information that can inform our priorities and strategic decisions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior experience managing/supporting an e-commerce product portfolio with P&L accountability.
    • Strong automotive brand, category, and make knowledge specific to the European parts and the automotive e-commerce space.
    • Experience in automotive cataloging leveraging the Auto Care data standard and e-commerce best practices preferred.
    • Experience with category management and e-commerce product curation and merchandising is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong financial management skills with a command of revenue, COGS, margin and other critical P&L components.
  • Strong data and analytical skills and the ability to provide context to data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Compensation

  • $80,000 to $120,000 Base Salary, with a total compensation opportunity of $100,000 to $140,000 annually.

This position is located in Milford, CT, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
