About the Job

The Dual Director of Sales is responsible for planning and managing the overall sales efforts of the DoubleTree by Hilton New Bern Riverfront and the brand-new Tryon Riverfront Inn, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Responsibilities include achieving optimal occupancy and ADR growth to maximize total revenue while meeting/exceeding hotel profit goals for both assets. This individual will be responsible for maintaining relationships with current clients and accounts and cultivating relationships with new accounts in the market. Additional responsibilities include developing an annual sales and marketing plan, forecasting, revenue strategizing, networking, and promoting a Sell Smart strategy within the hotels.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with General Manager(s) to identify specific strategies and opportunities to drive revenue through occupancy and ADR
  • Forge and maintain strong and lasting relationships with high-value clients, guaranteeing their continued loyalty and satisfaction
  • Actively participate in weekly revenue meetings and review rate and revenue strategies daily
  • Work closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups within the city to ensure constant high-profile exposure for the hotels
  • Create a sales and marketing plan that incorporates a targeted approach to soliciting new and existing accounts through a variety of methods and establishing clear metrics for success to aid in achieving revenue targets
  • Work closely with General Managers to develop hotel budgets by analyzing past financial data, industry benchmarks, and market trends
  • Establish and cultivate positive and mutually beneficial relationships with convention center representatives
  • Educate, train, and motivate the team to achieve hotels’ revenue goals, identify and take advantage of sales opportunities to increase hotel occupancy and revenue, and promote Four Wall Selling
  • Review monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share, and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan
  • Utilize Delphi to organize and manage hotel business groups and events
  • Create a welcoming environment for guests and team members while providing exemplary customer service
  • Make regular outside sales calls, site tours, prospecting, and networking to secure new business and maintain contact with existing clients/accounts
  • Must possess leadership skills in guest service, associate relations, and hotel sales management, in addition to possessing exceptional organizational/time management skills and exceptional computer and networking business skills
  • Must possess extraordinary verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and be resourceful
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve with a positive attitude, taking ownership and going the extra mile

Requirements

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in sales and related field and/or minimum two years experience in the hospitality sales

Exceptional people skills with the talent to build relationships
