TheCity of Fort Collins Engineering Department provides a full range of civil engineeringservices, with a primary focus on transportation projects. Engineering provides total project managementcapabilities:
-Construction inspection for all new streets and utilities being installed with new developments.
-Operating city vehicles to navigate between inspection sites.
-Maintenance, repair, and upgrade of bridges and railroad crossings.
-Management of the Pedestrian Improvement Program.
-Permitting for all activities that occur in the City's street right-of-way.
-Assisting survey staff with construction layout, topographic and boundary surveys.
-Valid Diver's License required
This position may benefit a Civil Engineering orConstruction Management student interested in learning more about differentaspects of Fort Collins Engineering. This position will assist City Engineeringstaff in various aspects of their work, including field work.
Applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of 5-10 hours perweek during Spring and Fall semesters, and 30-40 hours per week (full time) duringSummer. Knowledge of ArcGIS would bebeneficial, but not necessary. Knowledgeof SharePoint would be beneficial as we incorporate new technologyopportunities.
