fcgov is Hiring a Business Support II - Streets Near Fort Collins, CO

Job Summary

The City of Fort Collins Streets Department has an exciting opportunity for a skilled administrative professional. This is a full-time, benefited position with an anticipated salary range of $45,000 -$51,000 and will report to the Streets Administration Supervisor. This is a customer support front desk position. In addition to the essential duties listed below, this role will assist with special event planning, public outreach communications, hiring and personnel functions. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. This position is primarily an on-site position. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has passion for communication and customer service, the organizational skills needed to work on multiple projects, and a desire to be part of the daily operations of local government!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Establishes and maintains effective office systems and procedures, including supply inventory.
  • May provide customer service for internal customers and citizens, including explanation and interpretation of policies and procedures, in person and via telephone.
  • Responsible for supporting a specific project or program for a department or division as assigned.
  • Enters data, compiles records and reports; tabulates or posts data; may develop and maintain data bases.
  • Compiles and organizes materials for various programs and/or projects.
  • Provides clerical support including preparing or answering correspondence; may open and route incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • May conduct marketing and sales activities.
  • May provide basic financial support through fee collection, data entry and tracking.
  • May coordinate schedules for meetings, training, or travel; may prepare agenda for and transcribe minutes at meetings.
  • Acts as liaison to other City offices.
  • May administer document and record management systems.
