Job Purpose

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Compliance Department in maintaining and improving the Agency’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position involves a combination of administrative tasks, policy management, and documentation assistance in the effective management of compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Computer skills – Office 365: including Share Point, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in tracking information, support services, policy writing/development/management, and recording keeping preferred.

Core Job Duties

• Maintaining records and documentation of compliance efforts, audits, investigations, and other compliance activities.
• Track IRC (Incident Review Committee) information and assist in follow-up from meetings.
• Assist with developing and communicating polices and policy changes.
• Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs to educate employees on compliance-related matters.
• Assist in conducting Compliance walk-throughs at FCC locations along with the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with investigations and audits when needed.
• Working closely with all departments and programs to promote a culture of compliance within the Agency.
• Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
• Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
• Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
• Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
• Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
