What You’ll Do:

• Assist with preparation of policyholder experience studies, industry surveys, and other in-force and management reporting.
• Prepare and communicate work product in a complete and professional manner, providing support to the actuarial department, underwriting initiatives, operations teams, and internal auditors.
• Develop clear, concise, and computationally efficient code to extract information and insights supporting development of management decisions and strategies.
• Assist in the identification of unusual results or trends. Review appropriate control results for accuracy and completeness.
• Actively seek out opportunities to deepen your understanding of advanced insurance concepts, actuarial techniques, and tools to support your actuarial knowledge base.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

• Have a college degree in math, actuarial science or related area and/or equivalent experience.
• Intent to pursue SOA actuarial credentials required. At least two actuarial exams passed is preferred. SOA transcript will be required at the time of offer.
• Have knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Excel. Experience with coding languages preferred.
• Proven mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills required.
• Be an effective communicator, willing and able to learn new tasks quickly, have a positive attitude and be willing to work for the good of the team and the company overall.
• Ability to work from our Home Office located in West Des Moines, Iowa.
