Your role, reporting directly to the Executive Director, is pivotal in the development and oversight of comprehensive compliance programs. This encompasses the execution of financial and program audits, along with the crucial task of delivering essential training to our dedicated staff.

In the realm of Regulatory Oversight, you will stay abreast of the latest HUD regulations, policies, and procedures, serving as a key interpreter and communicator of regulatory requirements to the Executive Director.

Moving on to Compliance Program Development, your responsibility extends to crafting and implementing a robust compliance program. Your role involves providing constructive feedback to help the Executive Director establish procedures that ensure seamless compliance within the organization.

Addressing Financial Compliance, you will meticulously review financial operations, ensuring alignment with established standards and regulations. Regular audits are conducted, with the findings promptly reported to the Executive Director for informed decision-making.

Program Compliance holds equal importance, with your role revolving around continuous monitoring of agency programs. Any findings are diligently reported to the Executive Director to maintain an unwavering commitment to compliance.

Taking on the mantle of Training and Education, you will not only develop but also deliver training programs for both staff and management. Your aim is to foster a culture of compliance through consistent and effective communication.

The Reporting and Documentation aspect involves reviewing and reporting to regulatory agencies, maintaining a comprehensive documentation system for all compliance activities.

In Risk Assessment and Mitigation, your focus will be on identifying potential compliance risks and developing effective mitigation strategies. Your expertise will also be crucial in assessing the impact of new regulations, providing valuable feedback to the Executive Director for necessary adjustments.

Your Education & Related Experience should ideally include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for advanced degrees or professional certifications. Proven experience in a compliance leadership role within public housing or a related field is essential, along with in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing housing programs.

Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities are crucial assets, encompassing strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Familiarity with financial reporting to HUD is preferred, and a valid driver's license is a requirement.

Though you won't have direct supervisory responsibilities, you'll play a crucial role in reporting findings to the Executive Director, ensuring the smooth operation of our agency.
