Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry unit. As a Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, interpreting telemetry data, and providing high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions. Duties:
- Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry data
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform procedures such as spinal taps and botulinum toxin treatments
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment plan
- Assist with discharge planning and coordination of care with other healthcare providers
- Document patient information accurately and timely using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Athenahealth)
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Skills:
- Valid RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Proficiency in performing spinal taps and botulinum toxin treatments
- Experience in primary care or acute care setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of physiology and pathophysiology related to cardiac conditions
- Familiarity with ostomy care techniques
