Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to patients in a medical/surgical setting. Your primary responsibilities will include specimen collection processing, caring for patients of all ages, sterile processing, and utilizing your knowledge of physiology and primary care.

Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess changes in health status
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication administration, and self-care techniques
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws and initiate IV therapy as needed
- Assist with wound care, ostomy care, and other specialized procedures
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate interventions as necessary

Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of NY
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Proficient in sterile processing techniques
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and documentation requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,500.00 per week
