As a Software Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world initiatives within our engineering squads. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to have the chance to learn all about the on-demand delivery industry, our company culture, and build your resume with tangible work and results.

What You'll Do:

• Learn programming best practices and techniques hands-on
• Work with a modern microservice and event-driven architecture
• Engage with experienced engineers to code, maintain, test, and debug live production systems
• Work as part of an Agile software development team
• Participate in the planning and execution of development projects

• This role can help springboard your career in software engineering and allow you to develop relevant skills for any tech career. While you do not need to have formal software development training, intermediate coding proficiency (2 years) is expected. The following backgrounds may translate well to this role: Computer science, information technology, computer and information systems, software engineering, or a similar mix of training and experience that you think will make you successful as a software developer on our team.

• You have some experience with one or more programming languages (Java or Kotlin preferred)You have collaborated on a software project and have experience with GitYou have a good understanding of RESTful APIs (hands-on experience preferred)You have strong communication skills (written and verbal)You can build rapport and work collaboratively with others on a teamYou appreciate good design and clean, well-tested codeYou take feedback well and align with our values of accountability and positivity
