Faulkner University is Hiring a Human Resources Associate (part-time) Near Montgomery, AL

Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Human Resources Associate. The selected individual is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our internal community as well as external contacts. The individual will perform multiple types of clerical support tasks and will be cross-trained to support benefits, payroll, and employment needs of the department. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a part-time position (20 to 30 hours per week).

Summary of Duties:

  • Onboarding of student employees; process their hiring and payroll documents
  • Assist with documentation and administration requirements for employee benefits
  • Perform ongoing updates on department reports
  • Perform and review background checks
  • Process employment verifications from external entities
  • Process payroll documents such as timesheets and pay requests
  • Review and process applications submitted for employment
  • Maintain the employee directory on the website; maintain department records
  • Assist in organizing university events for employees
  • Provide overall clerical assistance in various areas within the department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
  • Clerical experience required
  • Active member of the church of Christ preferred
