Summary

Requires the ability to perform light maintenance and repairs which include lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires, and flushing cooling systems and is an entry-level position.

Career Advancement

Employee will be hired with the intention of training and developing employee to have a career path in service. After 1 year of work as a Quick Service technician, Farrish will make all efforts to put employee in a position to turn-flat rate hours and advance to the next level. Farrish will provide training and move the tech to an apprentice with a Master Tech then a Flat Rate tech if the employee shows the drive and is capable of the job.

Essential Duties

• Completes all Express Lane training required by Stellantis.
• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replenishes as necessary.
• Checks tire pressure and add air if needed.
• Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Communicates with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisors immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Keeps the shop area neat and clean.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
• Understands keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Report any safety issues immediately to management.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.13 - $29.94 per hour

Experience:

• Automotive repair: 1 year (Preferred)
