Job Description:
As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Accounting Department. Your responsibilities will include daily cash deposits, reconciling credit card activity with merchant service reports, running monthly A/R statements, receiving of cash, checks, and credit cards, performing accounting journal entries, posting invoices, and assisting with scanning and filing as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily cash deposits to maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile credit card activity daily with merchant service reports to ensure accuracy.
- Run A/R statements monthly to track outstanding balances and customer accounts.
- Receipt cash, checks, and credit cards, providing customers with accurate payment records.
- Perform accounting journal entries to record financial transactions accurately.
- Post invoices promptly and accurately to maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records.
- Assist with scanning and filing documents as needed to ensure efficient record-keeping.
- Additional duties to prepare for the month end close.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial bookkeeping
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using accounting software.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Experience using CDK Global or other dealer management systems.
- Prior accounts receivable experience.
- Familiarity with financial tracking and bookkeeping principles.
- Experience handling customer purchase records.
