We are looking for a talented Painter to join our maintenance team at Farmington. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth application and finish.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes to buildings, furniture, and other structures using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Mix, match, and blend paint colors to achieve desired hues and shades, following specifications or using color charts.
• Perform minor repairs and surface preparation to ensure the paint adheres well and looks its best.
• Regularly inspect painted areas for touch-ups to maintain the facility's appearance and protect surfaces from wear and tear.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to coordinate painting projects and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety and health guidelines.
• Keep accurate records of materials used, work completed, and areas serviced.
• Provide input on paint selection, color schemes, and innovative painting techniques to enhance the visual appeal of the Club.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations regarding paint use and disposal.
• Assist with the maintenance of corporate housing units as requested by Facilities Maintenance Director.
• Assist with and make general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, elevators, ventilation system, and building structure of the Club as directed.
• Participate in the Maintenance on-call schedule rotation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional painting certification or apprenticeship completion is highly desirable.
• 2 years of experience in painting.
• Knowledge of different paint types, application methods, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using a variety of painting tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with color theory and the ability to match and blend colors accurately.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for record-keeping and communication.
• Possess a current Virginia driver’s license for travel to different Club sites.
• Ability to work at heights and in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
