Farmingdale State College is Hiring a Web Analyst Near Farmingdale, NY

The Web Analyst will analyze and interpret website data to develop reports and presentations that summarize and communicate the effectiveness of the College's marketing efforts and website experience. The analyst will work with other members of the College's Marketing & Communications team to provide data-driven insight and recommendations on future marketing and web initiatives. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills, is detail oriented and excels at communication and collaboration.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation, reporting, presentation, and communication of web data to meet the analytics needs of the Marketing & Communications team. Analytics needs primarily include analyzing the effectiveness of specific advertising campaigns and website initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities and solutions for future marketing and website initiatives based on analysis and interpretation of web data.
  • Manage and monitor Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to ensure website data is being gathered correctly according to best practices and that specific advertising campaigns are being tracked accurately.
  • Using Siteimprove, responsible for monitoring the search engine optimization and accessibility compliance of the website, and correcting or assisting with website issues when needed.
  • Review tickets in the website support system and resolve tickets, assigning them to other team members as needed.
  • Assist with managing website content contributors by periodically reviewing their pages to ensure they are following website and branding best practices as well as compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new users to the Omni CMS content management system used for the website.

Job Requirements:


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, or other relevant field
  • Either 1 year of experience or the equivalent student experience working with web analytics
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of web analytics and business intelligence
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
  • Must have ability to work and communicate effectively with people having diverse skill levels and varying backgrounds in a higher education setting
  • Personal initiative and self-discipline
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Commitment to improving personal knowledge and skills relevant to duties through on-the-job experience, self-directed research, conferences, or formal training
  • Ability to keep up to date knowledge of web trends and best practices

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with the core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization and website accessibility
  • Graduate of Farmingdale State College
Additional Information:

This is a full-time UUP position.

  • For the first 10 working days, beginning Friday, March 24, 2023 and ending Thursday, April 6, 2023, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.
  • CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Saturday, April 22, 2023
  • Salary: $55,000 $3,026 in downstate location pay = $58,026 Total Annual Compensation. Salary may increase commensurate with experience.
