Farmingdale State College is Hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician Near Farmingdale, NY
Responsibilities
- Maintain aircraft and shop support equipment.
- Conduct or supervise the inspection of aircrafts.
- Provide quality control of parts used on aircrafts.
- Provide training and instruction in the use of equipment to junior technicians.
- Provide assistance to students and instructors.
- Responsible for all supporting documentation IAW Federal Regulations.
- During all-weather operations an AMT will provide line service.
- Commitment to diversity and university initiatives supportive of diversity and inclusion.
- Interest in participating in student-centered service activities.
- Desire to apply expertise in promoting civic engagement with the College's many community partners.
- Possess a current FAA Mechanics License with an Airframe and Powerplant Rating with a clean record and no enforcement actions pending.
- Minimum four years general aviation experience which can include tech school.
- Possess strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of aircraft parts and familiarity with shipping and receiving.
- Flight simulator repair experience.
- Familiar with the Talon RMS program.
- Piper warrior, Archer and Seminole experience.
- Cessna experience.
- For the first 10 working days, beginning Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and ending Monday, May 13, 2024, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.
- CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: Wednesday, May 29, 2024
- SALARY: $65,000 $3,087 in downstate location pay = $68,087 Total Compensation. Salary may increase commensurate with experience.
