Established in 1991, Farm Share is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to the recovery, sorting, packing and distribution of nutritious foods for people in need. Farm Share administers a combination of USDA commodity programs and produce recovery operations from Homestead, Florida - the heart of Miami-Dade County's farming area, Pompano, West Palm Beach, Quincy, East Palatka and Jacksonville.

Full Time Warehouse / Fork lift driver wanted. Responsible for accurate stocking of product, loading of trucks, proper rotation of food stuffs and general warehouse condition. Able to lift up to 50 lb. to shoulder height. Minimum 1 yr work experience. Shift flexibility required.

General description

Essential duties & responsibilities include:

• Light desk clerk work. Some computer experience necessary

• Participates in maintenance of equipment & facilities

• Maintains proper rotation in coolers & warehouse

• Reports questionable product quality to Supervisor

• Loads / unloads trucks in safe & timely manner

• Maintains the warehouse in a clean & safe manner

• Strictly adheres to food safety policies & procedures

Requirements:

• Ability to take direction & work as part of a team

• Minimum 18 yrs of age with HS diploma or GED

• Minimum 1 yr work experience

• Shift flexibility – able to work evenings, weekends, holidays

Employment offer may be contingent upon completion of an interview, fitness evaluation, physical, drug screen, and/or background investigation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.50 per hour
