Field Compensation Specialist

What You'll Do : As a Compensation Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of processes surrounding compensation such as : month end, quarter end, and year end processing, responding to field inquiries concerning compensation, keeping accurate documentation of compensation manual entries and processes, correcting system errors, delivering one-on-one training to the field concerning compensation, and assisting with system updates to compensation related systems.

We're dedicated to enhancing the agent experience at Farm Bureau Financial Services, and that means our team uses a combination of math, problem solving and communication skills to first understand, then explain sometimes complex and sensitive matters to agents and field leadership.

What It Takes to Join Our Team :

  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex information.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Broad, general knowledge of technical systems and ability to learn and navigate multiple systems quickly. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be available to work 8am-4 : 30pm Monday through Friday from our office in West Des Moines, IA. Also, there is the potential for unexpected overtime during busy times of the month / end of the year, and time off will be limited during these periods.
